The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador of the United States of America, Robin Dunnigan, personally extending congratulations and best wishes for success.
In their discussion, Minister Amilakhvari and Ambassador Dunnigan delved into the comprehensive projects across all education levels currently underway in collaboration with the US Embassy and USAID. The meeting attendees reviewed project objectives and assessed the achieved results in this collaborative effort.
Both parties acknowledged that each project undertaken in partnership with the United States aligns seamlessly with the priorities and ongoing reforms of the Ministry of Education and Science.
The meeting participants explored the potential for enhancing cooperation between Georgian and American universities to further expand the number of joint international double-degree educational programs in Georgia. The minister emphasized the importance of collaboration with the United States and the involvement of American universities in Georgia for this purpose.
To foster stronger ties between Georgian and American universities, it was announced that the US Embassy would organize a visit by the Minister of Education and Science and ministry representatives to the United States next year.
Concluding the meeting, Ambassador Dunnigan commended the ongoing reforms in the Ministry and pledged full support to the Minister in the implementation of future joint projects.
