The Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, accompanied by a Georgian delegation, is currently on a working visit to Baku, Azerbaijan.
During the visit, Minister Amilakhvari held a productive meeting with Hafiz Pashaev, the Rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA University). The discussions focused on enhancing ties between Georgian higher education institutions and the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, as well as the implementation of joint scientific and research projects. Giorgi Amilakhvari expressed his gratitude to Hafiz Pashaev for their fruitful partnership.
Notably, last year marked the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Tbilisi State University, the Technical University of Georgia, and Kutaisi International University with the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, aimed at bolstering educational and cultural ties.
The aforementioned cooperation framework includes plans for joint exchange programs, research projects, vocational and professional training involving both faculty and students. Furthermore, the memorandum supports the organization of various seminars, conferences, and cultural programs.
The Rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy, Hafiz Pashaev, thanked Giorgi Amilakhvari for the ongoing collaboration and expressed eagerness to further deepen the existing partnership.
The meeting was also attended by Aleksandre Tsuladze, the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth; Deputy Minister Nodar Papukashvili; Jaba Samushia, Rector of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University; Davit Gurgenidze, Rector of the Technical University of Georgia; and Aleksandre Tevzadze, Rector of Kutaisi International University.
