The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia Dr. Giorgi Amilakhvar, who is currently in Baku on a working visit, held a working meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Gaibov.
Dr. Giorgi Amilakhvari informed his colleague about the ongoing reforms in the Georgian education system and the steps that are being taken to develop youth policy.
As the minister noted, from January 1, 2024, Youth Agency was transferred under the remit of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, and in the nearest future, a number of significant projects will be implemented with a view to support the resilence and empowerment of youth in Georgia.
According to the Minister, one of top priorities of the Ministry is to provide young people with diverse services and organization of various events.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to carry out future joint projects targeting youth.
On his part, the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan wished Giorgi Amilakhvari success in implementing the planned projects and expressed his readiness to support.
The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Aleksandre Tsuladze and Deputy Minister, Nodar Papukashvili.
