The Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Aleksandre Tsuladze, participated in the International Educational Technologies Summit and Exhibition held in the Republic of Turkey. The summit was officially opened by the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Following an official invitation from the Minister of National Education of the Republic of Turkey, Yusuf Tekin, the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia, Aleksandre Tsuladze, participated in the Summit, alongside education ministers and key stakeholders from various countries. As part of the summit’s official agenda, Minister Tsuladze delivered a formal address highlighting Georgia’s major accomplishments and outlining strategic plans for the continued integration of modern technologies across all levels of the national education system.

According to Minister Tsuladze, education remains one of the most effective instruments for promoting the sustainable development. In light of this, the Ministry is undertaking a range of strategic initiatives aimed at fostering innovation, enhancing the digital aspect of education, and equipping learners with the modern competencies and skills required in a rapidly evolving world.

During his official visit to Istanbul, Minister Tsuladze also held an independent bilateral meeting with the Turkish Minister of National education – Mr. Yusuf Tekin. The parties emphasized the significance of maintaining the strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey, highlighting the importance of enhancing the existing cooperation in the fields of education, science, and youth affairs.

The ministers explored new opportunities for joint initiatives across all levels of the education system. They placed particular emphasis on the exchange of innovative teaching approaches and the critical role of digital transformation in modern education.

Furthermore, Minister Aleksandre Tsuladze held a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Osman Aşkın Bak, during which they discussed opportunities for implementing joint initiatives aimed at supporting Georgian and Turkish youth.

Moreover, Minister Tsuladze emphasized that youth empowerment is one of the key priorities of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of Georgia. In this context, a number of large-scale initiatives are already underway, including – StudFest, youth camps, and other designated programmes designed to foster engagement and development amongst the young people.

As the meetings drew to a close, the Turkish side expressed their appreciation for the ongoing reforms within Georgia’s education system and reaffirmed their readiness to enhance bilateral cooperation moving forward.

On the official visit to Istanbul, Minister Aleksandre Tsuladze was accompanied by the First Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Giorgi Modebadze, and Deputy Minister, Baia Kvitsiani. The Consul General of Georgia in Istanbul, Mr. Aleksandre Jishkariani, also participated in the official events.
