During his official visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan,
the Minister of Education, Science, and Youth of Georgia, Givi Mikhanadze, held
a meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan,
Farid Gayibov.
The two sides emphasized the strong and successful
partnership between Georgia and Azerbaijan in the field of youth development
and discussed future plans aimed at further strengthening this cooperation.
Minister Mikhanadze highlighted that, through joint
efforts, the two countries have implemented several important initiatives,
including the Georgian-Azerbaijani Youth Forum as well as the youth camps held
in Guba, Baku, and Sumgait. According to the Minister, such activities play a
vital role in creating opportunities for enhancing the existing cooperation,
reinforcing the historic friendship between the two nations, and fostering
stronger connections amongst the youth.
In turn, Minister Farid Gayibov expressed his gratitude to
Givi Mikhanadze for the exemplary cooperation and reaffirmed Azerbaijan’s
readiness to pursue future joint projects aimed at enhancing bilateral
collaboration.
The meeting also covered key steps to promote youth
development, with both sides agreeing to organize joint conferences, seminars,
and festivals in the near future.
Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to
the Republic of Azerbaijan, Zurab Pataradze, also attended the meeting.
