By the initiative of the President of Georgia, new building for the schoolchildren of the primary school was constructed. As a result, number of the first graders increased and the demand for this school is being satisfied.

 Construction works began on June 1 and finished on October 4.One-floor building is located on 1,076 square meters, with 12 rooms. Nine of them are the classrooms.

The building is unique, as it has the green cover roof with the real flowers and trees and it is the only one in Georgia. Garden of olive-trees, pomegranates and willow-branches is cultivated on the roof.

Currently, 283 schoolchildren of the primary classes study in the school. According to the Safe School concept, it is important to place the schoolchildren of primary school in the separate building.

4 surveillance cameras are installed in the new building. Resource officers care for the safety of the schoolchildren.

Georgian talented architect Irakli Sharashidze and American architect Steven DenkenBerger projected the school.

Education and Science Infrastructure Development Agency of MES implemented the construction works in the scope of the President’s National Mega Program “Iakob Gogebashvili – Rehabilitation of the Public Schools”.

First Experimental School is the pilot school. All first graders were provided with the netbooks by the initiative of the President. Teachers were trained as well.

 3,000 netbooks were specially created for the schools of Georgia as the result of the collaboration with the company INTEL.

Education programs in foreign languages, Georgian language, mathematics and logics as well as the textbooks and additional literature, education-cognitive games are uploaded in the computer. The netbook is equipped with the full-scale licensed operational system.

All first graders will be donated with the netbooks from the next academic year. The Government will purchase 100,000 computers in order to implement this program. The web-site www.buki.ge was created in parallel. All schoolchildren are able to visit this site. The web-site is educational-cognitive and interactive games, electronic library, the latest news on the modern technologies and the current innovations are uploaded on the site. Textbooks and literature is also uploaded on buki.ge.

2,183 schoolchildren study and 135 teachers work at the First Experimental School. The schoolchildren are actively involved in the National School Olympiads and different competitions. 13 candidates of the Golden medal and 20 candidates of the Silver Medal studied in the school in previous year.  95% of the graduates have been enrolled in the higher educational institutions. All of them gained the grants. Some of them obtained 100% funding.
