Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini awarded with an Order of Excellence famous scientist, astrophysicist, academician of the Department of Mathematics and Physics of Georgian National Academy of Sciences, Jumber Lominadze for his successful scientific and educational activities.

Jumber Lominadze is an author of around 250 scientific works. He was awarded with the third quality Vakhtang Gorgasali Order and Georgian State Prize in the fields of science and techniques. Mr. Lominadze was the Director of Abastumani Kharadze National Astrophysics Observatory of Georgian National Academy of Sciences. He also managed the Center of Plasmatic Astrophysics Observatory. Mr. Lominadze held a position of the Chairman of Georgian Cosmic Agency. He carries out public activities. Mr. Lominadze was the Chairman of Georgian Central Election Committee. Merited scientist still holds successful works.
