Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Irine Kurdadze opened 2010 summarizing academic and professional summit. More than 10 reports were presented at the summit, organized by the University of Georgia. Implemented projects of 2010 and the planned innovations were discussed at the summit.
Development of PhD and MA programs, main strategies of the medical, law and pedagogic directions were discussed. Report of the European Foundation on Georgian education system was reviewed as well.
Discussion of the report of the European Foundation was one of the main topics of the summit as the blemishes noted in the report are fully abolished by the end of 2010.
Director of the National Center for Education Quality Enhancement, Rector of the University of Georgia, representatives of TSU, Ilia State University, Tbilisi State Medical University and other higher educational institutions delivered speech at the summit. Around 300 guests attended the summit, among them were the representatives of the general, professional, academic educational institutions and international organizations.
