From 2011, the rule of enrolling first-graders in schools will be changed and this process will become more transparent and accessible for all. For the first time, a concrete deadline has been set for registration of first graders; parents should meet this deadline as early or late applications won’t be accepted.

According to the decision of the Ministry, from March 1 to March 15 registration will start for those first graders whose parents teach at the school they are about to study or whose siblings study in the selected school. For all the other first graders registration process will start from March 15 and end on May 15.

In order to obtain a personal computer for the first graders, parents shall apply the selected school in a timely manner and register their children no later than May 15.
