Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Nodar Surguladze attended the awarding ceremony of the winners of Mathematical Contest “Future Hope”.
III-IV graders of Tbilisi general educational institutions participated in the competition which aimed at encouraging the schoolchildren with mathematical abilities from the very early age.
The contest was jointly organized by the ICT center “Mziuri”, the Youth National Palace, Georgian Educational Alliance and Tbilisi Public school #24 with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.
Mathematical Contest “Future Hope” was held from June 5 to June 11 in two rounds. Up to 1200 schoolchildren participated in the first round, 165 of them have been selected for the second round.
The winners of the second round were identified at the awarding ceremony and they received diplomas and prizes.
The event was attended by the scientists, Informatics and Mathematics teams coaches, the participants of the school Olympiads.
This contest is organized in the scope of Gifted Children’s Program and is being implemented for more than 20 years.
