Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini attended international conference. The subject of the conference was the modern methods of teaching English language. The conference was attended by more than 100 teachers of Tbilisi and other regions of Georgia.
The conference was organized by National Center for Teacher Professional Development with support of Exclusive Representative of McMillan Education to Georgia - Company “English Book in Georgia”.
The event was carried out in the scope of the memorandum signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and McMillan Education. In the frame of the event Georgian teachers attended the workshops given by British linguists on modern methods of teaching English language.
According to the memorandum, McMillan Education is responsible to train all Georgian English language teachers and provide them with English language textbooks and supplementary materials free of charge. In the scope of the project 4200 English language teachers of all Georgian public schools will pass 3 day trainings.
From new academic year, Georgian schoolchildren will have the opportunity to study with the English language textbooks published by the world’s one of the best publishers.
By the statement of International Marketing Director of McMillan Education Jo Greig: “It is great honor for McMillan Education to cooperate with the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and support such innovative project as teaching English language using modern teaching methods.”
For Georgian schoolchildren the price of the textbooks will be different from its original price, 10 GEL instead of 26 GEL
Nowadays McMillan Education is the third on the list of the world’s best publishers of English language textbooks and supplementary educational materials.
