Unified National Exams in General Skills will be held on July 4-5. Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini observed the proceeding of the exam at examination center at Georgian State University.
Tests in General skills are printed out in Georgian, Abkhazian, Armenian, Azeri and Russian languages. 328 Armenian and 436 Azeri entrants take the exam in their native language.
By the initiate of the President, those Armenian and Azeri entrants who wish to continue studying on Georgian sector will take only General Skills exam in order to get enrolled in higher education institutions. During their first year of study Armenian and Azeri students will intensify their knowledge of Georgian language. Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will allocate 450 000 Georgian Lari for 200 successful Azeri and Armenian students.
One visually impaired entrant also takes exam in General Skills. The tests are printed with Brielle transcript for such entrants. 5400 entrants take part in Students’ Grant Contest by taking exam in General Skills. In order to enhance their grants entrants have to get 42 points. Minimal competency level is 10.5 points.
Exam in General Skills will last for 3 hours. Maximum number of points is 80 and minimal number of points is 21.
Test is composed of 80 tasks in Math and verbal part. The entrant has 1.30 hours for each part of exam. New tasks have been added to the Math part of the test.
