In the scope of the program ICRC produced and distributed to all schools of Georgia two auxiliary manuals for schoolchildren (totally 282600 copies) and methodological manuals for teachers (totally 42700 copies), conducted trainings for teachers and trainers, produced methodological guidelines for trainers and CD for teachers, organized competitions for schoolchildren and teachers. The Main achievement of the program is integration of the basics of IHL in the National Curriculum, manuals and teachers' in-service and pre-service training curricula.
"From now on, the Ministry of Education and Science will lead IHL teaching independently. Although we are completing the work in the domain of school education, we are always ready to provide relevant information", - said Ms. Ariane Tombet, Head of the ICRC Delegation.
