30 schoolchildren of “Science Schools” departed to the first international summer school in Abastumani. The event was attended by the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Sepherteladze.
“Alliance for Developing Science Schools in Georgia” with a support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia organizes a first international summer school in Abastumani with participation of schoolchildren of “Science Schools” on July 23-30.
Students of secondary schools (15-17 years old) were eligible to participate in international summer school program. The successful school students of Georgian and Armenian schools of Physics and Mathematics have been selected to participate in the summer school.
This project was developed in the frame of the Olympiad held in Erevan, in January 2011 by the initiative of the Presidents of Georgia and Armenia and serves a purpose of further continuing a close cooperation among Georgian and Armenian science schools.
International summer school program is composed of the following directions:
Educational activities in the summer school will be carried out in three subjects: Physics, Math and Informatics.
The project will continue in the future as well and along with Georgian and Armenian school students, schoolchildren from Lithuania, Latvia and Ukraine will participate in it.
