Deputy Minister Irine Kurdadze and Director of National Center for Teacher Professional Development Gia Mamulashvili handed over the certificates to the winners of the Contest of Public School Principals.
Any person who had obtained a higher education degree was eligible to participate in the contest. The exam was held in two rounds. At first, contestants passed the test with the help of the special computer program. They answered the questions on the following issues: normative base, organizing a learning process and its assessment according to the National Curriculum, financial management of the school, HR management and many others. Those contestants, who had passed the first round, were invited to the interview. The contestants were free to choose the topic of their presentations for the interviews and present them at the special commission.
Even the person with no experience in school management was able take part in the contest. The winners of the contest have the right to work as school principal for 7 years.
By the Decree of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia the winners of the contest of Public School Principals will be selected by the School Board members.
