Information Leaflet “School Textbooks”
This year, for the first time Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia printed special leaflets “School Textbooks” that contain information about textbook prices, subjects, classes and publishers.
Ministry also prepared special posters with information of book stores and textbook fairs on it. 160 book stores throughout Georgia will sell textbooks that are approved by the Ministry. All Public and Private Schools of Georgia will be provided with leaflets and posters.
Parents will be able to get leaflets at home by postman and also to subscribe to textbooks. Georgian Post will guarantee textbook delivery. Today Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini held the presentation for the press about the information leaflets.
According to the Memorandum signed between Ministry and several distributor companies, from August 30, the companies will organize school textbook fairs and book stores in Tbilisi, Batumi, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, Rustavi, Poti, Telavi and Gori. At distributors’ fairs and book stores the textbooks will be sold with fixed prices. Therefore, Ministry recommends parents to buy the textbooks at above mentioned places.
