By 2011-2012 academic year, 12 new schools will be built and 350 will be rehabilitated throughout Georgia. Today, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Giorgi Chakhnashvili visited Tbilisi Public School №24 and got familiarized with reconstruction works there.

Tbilisi Public School №24 is one of those schools that have been rehabilitated in compliance with modern standards. During the reconstruction works special attention is paid to the rehabilitation of water closets, corridors, classrooms.

During the rehabilitation works, in several schools new central heating systems have been installed, school gyms have been reconstructed and outdoor playgrounds have been refurbished. 

Reconstruction works are implemented by the Education and Science Infrastructure Development Agency under the Ministry. Overall 9 million GEL is allocated from the budget for this matter.
