First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Koka Sepherteladze, and Board Chair of the company “Airzena Georgian Airways,” Tamaz Gaiashvili, awarded the winners of the contest “Become an Aviator”. The awards ceremony was opened with an Aviation Show at the Georgian Aviation University. 

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, together with the company “Airzena Georgian Airways” carried out the contest “Become an Aviator” throughout Georgia. Schoolchildren of 250 schools took part in the contest. They were asked to submit paintings and drafts of airplanes. 

The best individual and group projects have been selected. Talented schoolchildren have been awarded with special prizes.

In the scope of the awarding ceremony, schoolchildren visited Aviation University and had a Question and Answer session with aviation professionals. 

The contest “Become an Aviator” was designed to identify talented youth, and encourage their interest in aviation.  

During the contest, different events have been carried out. The company “Airzena” arranged a trip to Batumi for socially vulnerable schoolchildren. Schoolchildren were able to take different on-site tours at Batumi International Airport.
