International conference -“Physics in the epoch of Large Hadron Colider” was held
I. Javakhishvili State University is hosting the 6th conference on the topic of the new perspectives of physics. The conference “Physics in the epoch of Large Hadron Colider” was opened by the Deputy Minister of the Education and Science of Georgia-Mr. Nodar Surguladze.
The foreign and Georgian scientists operating in CERN also participated in the conference together with representatives of Tbilisi State University,
Based on the Georgian scientists cooperation with CERN and UNESCO’s financial support several conferences were held in the field of fundamental science. The first conference in High Energy Physics –“Physics at Future Coliders” was held in 2011 in Tbilisi, after which scientists met every 2 year before the activation of the Large Hadron Colider (2009).
Conferences in 2001, 2003 and 2005 were held under the auspices of Academy of science. In 2007 the conference was organized by Tbilisi I. Javakhishvili State University.
The 6the conference will be supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and the Academy of Science of Georgia.
