The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, and the Director of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Sulkhan Sisauri, visited Tbilisi Public School #77 and attended the public lecture-lesson given by the young scientist, Tamar Memanishvili. During the lecture-lesson, the scientist covered different topics of chemistry with both theoretical and practical exercises.

 The lecture was organized as part of the “Leonardo Da Vinci“ Contest initiated by the Ministry for schoolchildren-inventors. This year, Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation is organizing the contest for the second time. Now, schoolchildren from other countries are also able to participate in the competition.

The aim of the “Leonardo Da Vinci “contest is to promote creative thinking among schoolchildren, to develop their practical skills, and interest them in technical innovations.

Schoolchildren that are interested in participating in the contest can submit an online application on the official web-page of Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation at www.rustaveli.org.ge. The deadline for registration is November 6. Application materials will be evaluated by a competent jury. The winners will be awarded with medals and cash prizes.
