The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Dimitri Shashkini, took part in a seminar organized at Hotel Bazaleti. The seminar was attended by the representatives of accredited diplomatic corps and international organizations. The aim of the seminar was to provide information about ongoing and planned activities in the education system of Georgia to the invited guests and to discuss future fields of cooperation.
During the seminar, the representatives of the Ministry, Embassies and international organizations made presentations about jointly implemented projects and programs.
A new phase of educational reforms, being implemented by the Ministry of Education of Science of Georgia, envisages the improvement of the legal base of the educational system, the creation of an effective pre-school, general and higher education system, the capacity building of academic personnel, and the rehabilitation and equipment of the infrastructure of educational institutions.
The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia regularly organizes such seminars and workshops for representatives of diplomatic corps and international organizations to inform them about the current developments in Georgia's educational system.
