MES has been successfully implementing “Civic Activity Support Program” since 2007. The purpose of the program is to facilitate friendship of representatives of different social layers and their involvement in social activities that will be implemented by activation of social circles at public schools (fine needle work, sport, singing, dancing, etc…) and stimulation of joint activities. Involvement of adults in ethnic activities will compel their participation in public activities.
Public schools with mixed
ethnical structure: social minorities, gypsies, refugees, repatriated Meskhis’
participate in the program along with children’s houses and specialized public
schools. Students of Ilia State University and Batumi Shota Rustaveli State
University also participate in the program.
A contest “Ask yourself: what do
you do daily to favor others” was held on parallel to the conference. Students
of different ethnical origin and social layer have presented photos of joint
activities with their counterparts from other public schools.
