The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia continues to work to 5 year strategic plan. The First Deputy of Minister, Koka Sepherteladze, held a meeting with the members of committee working on development 5 year action plan. During the meeting some important questions such as starting International Baccalaureate programs in Georgia; Preparation for B1, B2 level exams in English Language at Higher Education Institutions; refinement of credit systems in Higher Education Institutions; recruitment of foreign lecturers; establishing quotas for sportsmen in Higher Education Institutions; creating of Professional Colleges on the basis of Higher Education Institutions; improvement of Unified National and High School Exams were discussed.
As Koka Sepherteladze said, the Ministry’s work is very transparent and all decisions are made through long discussions considering the proposals of the members of the committee.
In the process of developing long-term strategic plan, representatives of the Ministry, Public and Private Schools, Rectors of from Georgian most successful Universities are involved. Committee will continue to hold such meetings in order to identify the priorities of Georgian education system, for the next few years.
