The
President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, opened a “Future Classroom”
in Akhaltsikhe Public School №5. In this multifunctional,
technology-equipped classroom, all lessons are conducted with
educational tools displayed on the electronic interactive board as well
as on personal monitors for each student.
The teachers have the
opportunity to monitor students’ working process, assist them in case of
need, and send personalized comments.
The Classroom of the Future can support the following innovations:
- English, Georgian, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Geography, and Geometry classes ;
- virtual labs and learning tools such as ruler, protractor, can be used during the lessons;
- The schoolchildren can save and reuse electronic lessons anytime;
- A high quality visualization and audio system provides the opportunity for interactive presentations.
The “Future Classroom” in Akhaltsikhe was furnished and equipped by the “Algorithm” company. A virtual teacher welcomes the schoolchildren in front of the “Future Classroom” and displays all the functions and capabilities offered by the classroom.
“Future Classrooms” are already successfully being used in other public schools of Georgia. The distribution of technology will continue, and soon 100 multifunctional future classrooms will be opened throughout every major city of Georgia.
Akhaltsikhe Public School №5 was nominated as the best school by the Ministry. The schoolchildren, teachers, and school staff are actively involved in various projects and programs; much attention is devoted to maintaining and upgrading the school infrastructure. The school has mobilized the material resources to undertake different renovation works.
