Today, the President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, visited the Tbilisi Informational Center, where future students of vocational educational institutions are being registered. The first candidate from a socially vulnerable family was registered personally by the president and was granted a voucher.

The deadline for spring registration for potential students of vocational educational institutions is April 20. Registration will also be held in Kutaisi and Kobuleti informational centers; at all three locations interested individuals can inquire about any kind of necessary information.

The state has disbursed 7,000GEL for voucher based financing, which will enable 7,000 individuals to study, work, become professionals, and find employment.

Students from socially vulnerable families and active 9th and 12th graders, who have decided to proceed with their education at vocational educational institutions, will be fully financed.

Graduates of vocational educational institutions are presented with real employment opportunities. New vocational colleges with modern equipment offer qualifications that are highly sought in Georgia's labor market. Specific programs are taught by retrained teachers and field specialists.

The introduction and implementation of this new financing system will increase competitiveness between vocational colleges and facilitate the attraction and involvement of the private sector. Vocational colleges, while offering equal conditions for all students, must become oriented on self-development, strive to acquire industrial practices, and foster employment opportunities.
