Georgian teachers succeeded in Microsoft Partners in Learning European Forum
Georgian participants won third place in Microsoft Partners in Learning European Forum 2012, held in Lisbon, Portugal. Overall, 82 projects were presented.
• The grand prix went to Ireland,
• The first place to Holland
• Second place to Sweden
• Third Place to Georgia
The winning contestants will participate in the world forum to be organized in Athens. Among them are Georgians: Khidistavi Public school teacher Tea Sadzaglishvili and IT trainer Elene Betlemashvili.
Today, Minister Dimitri Shashkini awarded the winners in recognition of their achievements. Director of the National Center for Teacher Professional Development, Gia Mamulashvili, presented the Georgian participants with“Iota readers”.
Tea Sadzaglishvili and Elene Betlemishvili were displayed in the nomination “the Most Innovative Projects in Education”.
Classroom teachers who use netbooks as an integrated part of their lessons were nominated to participate in Microsoft Partners in Learning European Forum 2012. Teachers were selected on the basis of a local competition held in Georgia. The participants also had the opportunity to attend the seminar on IT technologies as a part of their visit to Portugal.
The competition was organized jointly by Microsoft and The National Center for Teacher Professional Development and aimed at enhancing the quality of education through applying IT technologies in learning/teaching process.
