Basketball Championship was organized at Tbilisi public school #100
In
the scope of popularization of the sports, friendly match was organized among Tbilisi
public school#100 and Zestaponi basketball teams. The aim of the match was to
start preparation for selecting the team members for girls’ national basketball
championship.
The school match was organized with support of the Tbilisi public school#100 and Basketball Federation. The event was attended by Tbilisi vice Mayor, Andria Urushadze, Head of National Curriculum and General Education Development Department, Natia Jokhadze, Head of Social Service and Culture Unit of the Mayor’s office, Mamuka Katsarava and other representatives.
According to Natia Jokhadze, such matches promote sport culture and adopting a healthy life style among the school students.
Physical culture classes have been replaced by Sport classes. School infrastructure has been upgraded,a new program been has developed and teachers have been trained.
