Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Dimitri Shashkini met those student-participants of the program “Summer Jobs” who joined the program from June 4 after passing the additional registration. Minister and Press-Speaker of the program Mariam Sajaia informed the students about future procedures.
From June 7 to June 15, these new participants of the program will sign the labor agreements either at the Ministry or at the employers’ offices.
Registration for the program began in all regions of Georgia on March 20. As the plans of some participants changed, the Ministry announced the additional opening for the remaining vacant positions. This gave the chance to 1500 new students to join the program.
Overall 25 000 students will get employed in different organizations: state agencies, non-governmental organizations, legal companies, museums, hospital and municipalities.
This President-initiated program for students’ employment, “Summer Jobs,” will begin in all regions of Georgia on July 20, and will last till August 20. The salary of the bachelor degree students of authorized higher education institutions participating in the program will be 500 GEL.
