Contest of Projects for school students
Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia organized the contest “Introduce your country to tourists” for the school students of basic and secondary education levels.
100 teams (composed of 3-5 school students) participated in the contest. The jury selected 3 winner teams and presented 4000 GEL to each team. Other participants of the contests were awarded with certificates of participation.
Teams participating in the contests had to develop and present the project, oriented on attracting tourists to their regions/cities. The project should contain the tourist package with the following components: transportation, accommodation, food, and tours.
As Head of National Curriculum and General Education Development Department Natia Jokhadze stated, such contests help school students to develop their problem solving and critical thinking skills.
At the end of the event, the winner teams held the presentations of their projects.
