Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aluda Goglichidze awarded winner students of International Olympiads Jemal Shengelia, Giorgi Kobakhidze, Sergi Chalauri, Saba Kharabadze, Giorgi Gonashvili, Jimsher Skhirtladze and Nikoloz Svanidze with money prizes.
Jimsher Skhirtladze and Nikoloz Svanidze (Komarov Public School №199), winners of bronze medals in 24th International Olympiad in Informatics held in Italy, were awarded with 2000 GEL each.
Giorgi Gonashvili form Komarov Public School №199 brought a bronze medal from 53rd International Olympiad in Mathematics held in Argentina.
Participants Akaki Margvelashvili (№41 Kutaisi Public School), Gela Maghaltadze, Sandro Maludze (PublicSchool №199) and Tornike Mandzulashvili (Public School №42) were awarded with Certificates of Honor.
Groups for International Olympiads were formed as a result of selection of successful students of subject Olympiads. They passed additional selection tours. The participants were sent to summer camps for a month in order to prepare according to international standards.
In order to encourage students, the Ministry is carrying out different programs, among them, National Education Olympiad. The ministry is carrying out another project as well. According to the project, students are sent to different International Olympiads. The ministry will continue encouraging successful student in future.
