22.01.2013
Within the framework
of the Government of Georgia - UNICEF Programme of Cooperation for the period
2011 - 2015, from 22 – 23 January 2013 UNICEF in close partnership with the
Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is organizing a workshop on a ten
determinant analysis in general education. The monitoring framework resulting
from this workshop will further assist the Ministry of Education and Science
and its partners in addressing the key bottlenecks that cause inequity in
general education.
This event is in line
with the UNICEF global initiative "Monitoring of Results for Equity
Systems".
The similar exercise
has already been launched in 2012 for the area of Preschool Education/Early
Learning. As a part of a Preschool Education Monitoring Matrix already a number
of baseline studies have been conducted by ISET Research Institute and National
Statistic Office of Georgia.
This time the workshop
will bring together education partners in Signagi to devote time to general
education.
The event will be
chaired by Mr. Aluda Goglichidze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of
Georgia, Ms. Nada Marasovic, Deputy Representative, UNICEF and Mr. Philippe
Testot-Ferry, UNICEF Education Advisor from Geneva.
