Giga Umekashvili, Head of Educational and Scientific Infrastructure Development Agency of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia made a presentation on construction of Public Schools in villages Akhali Dioknisi and Samgereti.
Akhali Dioknisi Public School has been located in a private house building for years. Teaching/learning process has been carried out in a wooden cottage since February 2013. This cottage was built with co-financing of the Ministry and sum of money allocated from the school budget.
Construction of a new school building begins in December of the current year. Bids were held and a winning company was selected. New school will meet modern standards. The building is designed for 144 pupils. Construction process shall finish in December 2014.
School building in village Samghereti, Tetritskharo Municipality was built in the forties of the last century. It is impossible to repair the building. There are only 12 classrooms in the school and the building is located near the cemetery.

The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is planning to build 9 new schools. Most of them will be finished by the end of the following year.
