Awarding ceremony of HMC and NCN projects winners was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. Deputy Minister of Education and Science Lia Gigiauri awarded the winners with certificate. They will spend a year-course in British schools.
HMC (Headmasters 'and Headmistresses' Conference) is a leading independent
school principals’ union in the United Kingdom. HMC Projects is a charitable
organization whose main purpose is to enable the students from Central and
Eastern Europe, to study and to establish contacts with their British peers in
the United Kingdom in order to significantly improve their level of English
language proficiency.
As a result, at present, over 3,000 students have received 100% scholarship in British schools for one-year course. Bilateral cooperation develops not only students, but contributes to the development of British schools as well. Under the project, students study at various independent and prestigious schools.
For the two years, the project has been carried out in Georgia with the support of a Company "Unique Learning". In the framework of the 2014 competition, 16 winners were announced.
NCN (New College Nottingham) is a leading British State College, which has initiated a project for the first time this year. Talented and successful are financed for A-Level course studies in the college within the framework of the project. In 2014, as a result of the competition 21 successful candidates have been singled out. Pupils of various public and private schools of Georgia have participated in project.
