A meeting has been held regarding American Bachelor Programs in Batumi
The Minister of Education and Science Tamar Sanikidze,
Executive Director of Millenium Challenge Fund Magda Magradze and Doyen of
Georgia of San Diego State University SDSU Ken Walsh visited Batumi and held an
informational meeting in Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University regarding
higher education project “San Diego State University and Georgia 2020”.
Project “San Diego State University and Georgia 2020” was launched in 2014 and is being implemented by Millennium Challenge Fund in the frames of second 140 million Dollar compact signed in 2013 between USA and Georgia and aims to strengthen human resources in engineering and natural sciences in accordance with job market.
San Diego State University offers bachelor educational programs to students in 2015-2016 years in following specialties: Chemistry/Biochemistry, Electronic engineering and Computer engineering. Computer science, Industrial and civil construction will be added in 2016.
Graduates will receive American education and San Diego State University diploma.
The project is being financed by US Government Millennium Challenge Corporation with total budget of 30 million Dollars.
