According to the Prime Minister, today there is no citizen without the attention of the Government. Everyone can receive a medical service and unprecedented growth of finances for health care sector serves this goal. “It is very important for us that, in one year, personal costs of citizens for medical services have decreased almost with 20%. Numbers and fulfilled jobs indicate our success. In comparison with year 2010, in 2014, the population has more frequently addressed health care service providers and self-treatment costs have been decreased. The number of those people, who refused to get medical services because of lack of finances, has been cut in half. This was one of the main challenges. Thousands of people were not able to visit a doctor because they could not afford it. In most cases, they had to sell their houses or cars to afford a minor surgery. Taking care of your citizens is the responsibility of the Government and we are happy that we have managed it. In addition, the accessibility to services has been increased. This success is especially notable in our regions, villages,”- said the Prime Minister and pointed out that this is a result of the Government’s 24-hour work.
According to Irakli Gharibashvili, today the people have hope that the Government is beside them and takes care of their health. The Prime Minister outlined that the Government is following the chosen path to the end and will successfully fulfill all projects that contribute to establish organized health care system in the country.
