Strategic investment of US government for rehabilitation of public schools
Millennium Challenge Foundation - Georgia, for
the purpose of development of general education, in the framework of second,
140 million dollars worth Compact of Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), is
announcing first international tender in regions of Georgia, for procurement of
rehabilitation works of public schools in 2015 phase.
Abovementioned Compact is valid since July 1, 2014. In 2015 is planned to announce tenders for rehabilitation works for up to 30 public schools. Within the framework of Compact, rehabilitation of up to 100 public schools is planned.

With the purpose of educational environment in schools and increasing of accessibility, the Foundation, in the course of following 4 years, within the framework of development project of infrastructure, will carry out investments with the volume of tens of millions of dollars which will also help to the strengthening of Georgian Economy. Also, abovementioned project envisages elaboration of strategy and plan for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of school infrastructure.
Main partners for the Foundation in implementation of development of general educational infrastructure are Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and LEPL "Educational and Science Infrastructure Development Agency" (ESIDA).
Aforementioned international tender offers to the interested companies to present their proposals in connection with procurement of school rehabilitation works in2015 phase, which, for current stage, envisages rehabilitation of public schools of Tianeti, Zegvi, Oni and Khelda. Millennium Challenge Foundation - Georgia is carrying out procurements according to the procedure defined by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation about which you can see information on following website https://www.mcc.gov/pages/business/guidelines. Contractor will be chosen in compliance with procedures of competitive/open tender.
