Members of Georgian national team in mathematics (6 participants) have returned from 56th International Mathematics Olympiad 2015 (Thailand, Chiang Mai) with 4 medals and 1 diploma.
Zaur Meshveliani (N199 Komarov Public School in physics and mathematics) has won silver medal. It should be noted that in previous Olympiad he also was awarded with silver medal.
Winners of bronze medals: Alexandre Saatashvili (N199 Komarov Public School in physics and mathematics), Giorgi Khosroshvili (N199 Komarov Public School in physics and mathematics) and Giorgi Kldiashvili (N. Nikoladze Kutaisi school-lyceum of Chaglar Educational Institutions). Winner of diploma - Saba Dzmanashvili (Demirel Private Colllege Chaglar Educational Institutions).
It should be noted that for the first time in last 5 years, Georgian team has returned with especially good results. We expect similar success from International Olympiads in physics, biology, chemistry and informatics which are ongoing in various countries.
Olympiads at international level are considered among the most prestigious and large-scale Olympiads and representatives from more than 80 countries are participating in them. Georgian national teams every year are taking part in international Olympiads. The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is fully financing selection, training and participation of members of Georgian national teams in Olympiads.
