The issues of school infrastructure development strategic plan were discussed at the seminar of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Educational and Scientific infrastructure Development Agency on March, 10.
The planning tasks of school infrastructure development were considered at the seminar. Besides, the hired consultants of the International Company MGT presented the General Plan of School Infrastructure Development in the framework of the program World Learning/Forecast, financed by USAID.
The First Deputy Minister, Akaki Seperteladze, the representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development and local government as well as the educational resource centers and public schools took participation in the seminar.
The international organization World Learning/Forecast Georgia is implementing the project by USAID financing. The agency and above mentioned organization signed the memorandum on December 4, 2009. The goal of one year project is to develop the modern standards of school construction and rehabilitation and the general plan of school infrastructure by tight cooperation with the local government and the resource centers.
As the result of this project, every city, village and regional center will have the concrete and impartial plan of school infrastructure development. The financial resources will be distributed according to the concrete construction and refurbish projects.
