The Department of the National Curriculum Development of the Ministry of Education and Science held the presentation, which aimed to discuss about the primary level of the renewed standard of the national curriculum of social sciences.

It is important to note that the teaching of social sciences in 2016-2017 academic year, will be strengthened and in the primary level (III and IV classes) will be started teaching the subject "I and society". The new discipline will focus on the student’s environmental surrounding (family, school, community), a healthy way of life, safety, violence, tolerance, social skills development, protection of the environment and so on.

III-IV-class subject matter standards focuses on students' civic education component, which is very important for their perfect development.

 The event was attended by Minister of Education and Science, a variety of international and local non-governmental organizations, higher and secondary educational institutions.
