The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia- Tamar Sanikidze got introduced with the ongoing infrastructural projects in the community college “Speqtri”. Among the several important projects are rehabilitation of the campus, training center and hotel. After the refurbishment all three objects will fully meet European standards. About 700 students are practicing 30 various specialties in the college “Speqtri”. The modern standard campus will serve for the students who are from regions and socially unprotected in order to enhance their access to learning. There will also live the foreign professors with exchange program.
It should be noted that the college dormitory and hotel is made with a universal design, so that the disabled students could use it. This had been never done before in such buildings, where disabled students can move around without any help.
College workshops is currently being rehabilitated. Material and technical base will be completely updated and modern laboratories will be launched.
In 2013-2015 was entirely reconstructed 9 vocational schools. 8 vocational schools were partially rehabilitated. 1school building and 1 dormitory were built.
In 2015, 14 million worth of infrastructural projects are being implemented across the state colleges. In vocational institutions implementing high educational programs are being projected adapted buildings for disabled students as well as arrangement of workshops and innovative industrial laboratories.
