The memorandum of cooperation was signed by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze and The Minister of Justice Tea Tsulikiani. The mentioned memorandum will support civic integration of minorities through the strengthening of teaching the national language.
According to the memorandum, the cooperation will be established within the framework of the project named ‘The implementation of E-Governance in Local Authorities II’ belonged to "Public Service Development Agency" of the Ministry of Justice. The memorandum envisages the following:
"Public Service Development Agency" and "Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration" of The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will work out a plan concerning the teaching issues of Georgian language and implement it in minority-populated regions.
The project also includes promoting civic integration in local communities (especially rural areas), community development, improving public services, supporting national language acquisition in minority-populated regions, increasing qualifications of civic center employees.
Educational development of minority-populated regions is one of the most important and priority issues. Accordingly, within the framework of the memorandum learning programs such are training civic center employees, improving administrative process and public services, etc. will be provided by "Zurab Zhvania School of Public Administration".
