The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia announces registration for vocational educational programs from 14 September to 27 September of current year. The registration will be open to more than 150 vocational programs, among which 45 programs are adopted to European standards.

All interested individuals have opportunity to master their desired professions through the government full funding at 33 public vocational educational institutions which offer programs in Tourism, construction, agriculture, information technology, services and other areas. Applicants only need to have their ID cards with them.

Registration is possible at information centers, educational resource-centers and at professional educational institutions throughout the country.

After the end of registration, in order to start learning at elementary course level, applicants have to sit professional testing organized by the National examination and Assessment Center. The aim of the testing is to identify the relevance between applicant skills and their chosen profession. It should be mentioned that individuals with disabilities and special needs, as usual, are given opportunity to do alternative testing format which is assessed by the multidisciplinary group on the basis of preliminary profession experimenting.

Those who wish to continue studying or move to another learning phase, will sit an exam organized by the institutions after registering at vocational educational programs.

This system of enrollment at vocational educational institutions has been functioning since 2013. To sum up the results of four admission periods, more than 20 000 applicants have enrolled and gained 100% state scholarships. 250 out of 20 000 were individuals with special needs and disabilities.

Number of vocational educational programs have been improved as a result of collaboration with employers. Vocational schools are equipped with renewed infrastructure, modern material-technical base and they cooperate with various companies which take care of internship of vocational school students and their future employment.
