International day of the teacher is celebrated on 5^th of October. The National center of teacher training of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia hold a solemn meeting. More than 100 teachers attended the event. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, The Minister of Edication and Science Tamar Saninidze, Director of The National Center of Teacher Training Giorgi Machabeli greeted them and wished success.

The Minister of Edication and Science of Georgia Tamar Sanikidze met three honored teachers and awarded them with a medals named ‘Amagdari’.  The award of the ministry is given to people working in the field of education whose contribution in raising future generation is valuable. Giorgi Machabeli, accompanied by the minister, awarded the teachers participating in the targeted programs of the center, as well as honored, older teachers. Mentioned 12teachers were given certificates of appreciation and other presents. ‘Liberty Bank’ awarded 8 teachers, who teach the children with special needs.

The event was attended by General director of Millennium Challenge Account- Georgia Magda Magradze, Council Chairman Giorgi Alibegashvili, representatives of non-governmental organizations and other invited guests.
