In the new academic year, the school Resource Officers entered for the first time of 8 public schools of 3 regions and started performing their responsibilities. Office of Resource Officers was launched at village Karadjali public school of Telavi Municipality, at village Sadakhlo Public School of Marneuli Municipality, at the public schools of Gardabani Municipality villages - Gamarjveba, Karajala and Kesalo, at village Kazreti Public School of Bolnisi Municipality and at village Agara public school of Kareli Municipality. In the village Iormuganlo Public Schools of November to enter, Lambalo public school. In November, Resource Officers will enter village Iormugalo Public School of Sagaredjo Municipality, village Lambaro Public School from New Year.

Before entering the schools, Resource Officers had been trained, passed all necessary training moduls and as a result, possess the relevant certificates.

In the last two years, the Office of Resource Officers has been through important qualitative and substantive changes and has been formed as a safety-oriented institution, which offers complex services for school in the form of resource officers, psychological centers and vocational guidance and career planning programs. 

Function of Resource Officer has changed significantly and today it is focused on the safety of pupil / student, educational administration and teacher and on the prevention of crime. As a result, public trust in the Office of Resource Officers has considerably increased, school violations in public schools have been decreased by 30% compared to the last year.

Resource officers are constantly introduced to the international experience and based on local requirements, are upgrading their qualifications, their regular trainings are taking place according to new programs.

The Office of Resource Officers has active cooperation with international organizations such as UNICEF, USAID, PH International and NASRO. This cooperation increases effectiveness of the service. This type of cooperation will continue and get more intensified.
