The Minister of Education and Science - Tamar Sanikidze, The Millennium Challenge Corporation Depity Vice President – Fatema Sumari, and the CEO of Millennium Challenge Account in Georgia – Magda Maghradze inspected Gori N5 public school, which is being renovated under the Millennium Challenge Compact.
In order to improve the learning environment, Millennium Challenge Account started to rehabilitate schools in Georgian regions since 2015. The complete renovation of 30 public schools have been completed, which covers approximately 10,000 students, who have the opportunity to receive quality education from a modern learning environment. A budget of 54 million US dollars is allocated for this purpose, and as a result more than 37,000 beneficiaries will receive an improved learning environment and have access to education.
Accordingly, the project will improve the learning environment and access to education for more than 37 thousand beneficiaries (in the first season include the rehabilitation of more than 10 thousand beneficiaries). Rehabilitation of schools selected by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation hired by an independent organization.
The project is funded by the US Millennium Challenge Corporation under the second compact in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Science.
