Tbilisi hosts a two-day international workshop on STI Evaluation Platform. Workshop concerns the issues related with the science, innovation and technologies and will be dedicated to the creation of the regional platform of the Eastern Partnership countries. Workshop gathers the representatives of Ukrainian, Moldavian, Belorussian, Armenian, Azerbaijani and Georgian institutions and funds supporting the development of science and technologies. Issues regarding the preparation and functioning of the common regional platform intended for the evaluation experts of the scientific – research projects will be discussed meanwhile the meeting.

Event is being organized in scales of the project “International Cooperation Network of Science, Technology and Innovation (IncoNet EaP) of Eastern Partnership Countries (EaP) funded by the EU Research and Technology Development 7^th framework (FP7). Also the experts from EU member states and the IncoNet EaP project consortium partner organizations are attending the meeting.

In scales of the event, representatives of the scientific research funds and the institutions of the Eastern Partnership countries signed the collaboration memorandum. According to the memorandum, presented parties are agreeing upon the readiness to participate in the creation of the STI Evaluation Platform. Parties also agree to empower the collaboration in this direction and make the scientific-research proposal evaluation tools and procedures accessible for the region. Supplement of the memorandum will also discuss the expert-evaluators’ activity plan needed for the implementation of the platform.
