Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University held the graduation ceremony for the 2016 MBA students. The ceremony was attended by the Acting Rector – Darejan Tvaltvadze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science - Goirgi Sharvashidze, Minister of Finance and TSU Professor – Nodar Khaduri, as well as the members of the council, faculty deans, academic staff and invited guests.
The doctor's oath was vowed at the graduation ceremony by the Faculty of Medicine graduates. The implementation of the medical education was started in Tbilisi State University in the year of 1919, when the first faculty was founded. Moreover, in 1930 the faculty ceased to exist, and a separate institution – Medical University of Tbilisi was created. In 1995, Tbilisi State University ressurecuted the faculty of medicine, and in 2000 the faculty of Medicine was established as an independent faculty.
Furthermore, more than 1,000 students have graduated from Tbilisi State University in 2016. There are more than 200 programs across seven faculties at TSU, and more than 20,000 students study at the unviersity as of 2016.
