A conference – “safe school” was organized by the School Resource Office for the educational institutions. The conference was attended by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia – Aleksandre Jejelava, the head of the Mandate service – Vakhtang Meipariani, the CEO of the National Association of American School Resource Officers (NASRO) – James Maurice Kennedy, as well as the officers and the representatitives of Georgian Resource Office.
Georgian Resource Office is actively cooperating with the United States National Association of School Officers (NASRO) since 2011. The association represents certified law enforcement officers, in charge of school safety and educational personnel, including teachers and school administrators. It is currently the biggest training organization in the world, who carry out innovative approaches to implement school safety programs and promote it throughout the world.
Within the scope of the conference, a training session will be held for the resource officers and security staff. During the training, US colleagues will present the violence preventive measures, in conjunction with informing the relevant authorities regarding the issue. The training will help the guards to be more effective at schools.
