The Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava, within the scope of Science and Innovation Festival, opened the exhibition of educational technologies, with the invited guests from public schools and the university students.
There were a number of companies who participated in the event such as: Geolab, Intel, Lenovo, Geocell, Educare Georgia, Microsoft, Kings, UGT, IT Academy, EMIS, Orient Logic, and LEGO Education. There were 15 organizations, who presented their educational resources to the visitors.
Application of modern technologies in the educational process is of paramount importance. Therefore, the exhibition was held with hands-on activities in a variety of computer equipment or technology, to demonstrate the software. Participants were introduced to modern technology, who themselves will be able to use them successfully in the educational process.
The Science and Innovation Festival, organized by the Ministry of Education and Science, is being conducted for the first time in Georgia. The festival started on September 17, and is loaded with various events each day. Exhibitions, public lectures, conferences, training sessions, workshops, open days, the presentations of latest scientific publications and achievements, were a part of the festival. The Festival will last till September 25.
