International Education Center Scholarship Students Job Fair – 2016 at was held Radisson Blu Iveria Hotel in Tbilisi, organized by the International Education Center and LEPK Social Services Agency.
The forum was attended by about 40 students, who was able to obtain a Master’s and a PhD degree in foreign countries with the financial support provided by the International Education Center. The forum, has also presented 40 employers from the private and public sectors. Moreover, the Job Fair 2016 was opened by the Minister of Education and Science – Aleksandre Jejelava.
In order to maximize the employment, a dialogue/meeting was held between the graduates and the representatives of public and private sector.
The graduates had opportunity to personally get acquainted with the representatives of the leading companies on the market, as well as meet with the Ministry officials, agencies and etc., in conjunction with asking questions, delivering their personal information as a desirable candidate and increase the professional development opportunities. Within the scope of the program, a “Graduate Cooperation Program” was discussed during the forum.
The forum was attended by the employed and the newly returned graduates.
The International Education Center was founded in 2014, and has funded over 270 unique scholarships for the individuals willing to obtain Masters and/or PhD degrees abroad, during 2014-2016. Some of them have already completed their studies abroad, and returned to Georgia, in order to put their knowledge to practice, for the benefit of our country.
The key aim of the Center, taking into consideration Georgia’s development priorities, is to create labor force, who are in line with the international standards, and have the adequate education and skills. Hence, the International Education Center is giving the opportunity to Georgian citizens, to continue their studies abroad and obtain Master’s or PhD degrees. Upon the graduation, selected individuals return to Georgia and proceed their career growth in the corresponding field for three years.
